DRI YouTube Replies

An internal tool that helps Dr. Shereene Idriss reply to comments on her own YouTube channel.

Dr. Shereene Idriss is a board-certified dermatologist who publishes educational skincare videos on YouTube. Her audience leaves thousands of comments a week, many of them genuine questions from real people. Answering every one by hand does not scale. Leaving them unanswered is worse.

DRI YouTube Replies is a private tool built and operated by Dr. Idriss Inc. for that single job. It reads recent comments on her channel, drafts a candidate reply to each one in her own voice, and puts the whole list in front of her. Nothing is published until she has read it and pressed send.

How it works

Once a day the tool reads recent public comments on videos published to the Dr. Shereene Idriss channel.
It drafts a suggested reply to each comment, grounded in what she has said publicly before.
It emails her a private review page listing every comment alongside its draft.
She edits, removes or approves each one individually. Anything she does not approve is never published.
Approved replies are posted to her channel over the following hours, as replies from her channel.

The Google data this app uses

The app requests a single scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl

It is required because the app must do two things that no read-only scope permits:

Read the comment threads on the channel's own videos, including existing replies, so it can tell which comments have already been answered and never reply to the same person twice.
Post a reply to a comment thread, as the channel, once a human has approved the exact text.

The app does not upload, edit or delete videos. It does not change channel settings. It does not delete comments. It is used by one person: the owner of the channel.

Who can use it

This is not a public product. It is an internal tool for Dr. Idriss Inc., used only on the Dr. Shereene Idriss channel, by the person who owns that channel. It is not offered to, sold to, or usable by anyone else.
